Resting Fairy Tern
All the White (Fairy) Terns I saw today were peeking out from behind branches. I just caught this one as it looked my way.
A rare trip out
Photography outings have been rare lately. Today I managed to spend 45 minutes photographing a Pacific Reef Heron.
Newly painted stadium
I have never taken or posted a photo of the stadium. It had just been painted, so I wasn't getting a better opportunity.
Beach Details
When photographing in the middle of the day, in harsh light, I look for colors, textures, and shadows.
Pair of White Terns
I see these White (Fairy) Terns regularly near Paseo, but this was my first time photographing a pair. Fascinating birds.
Finally Back
After nearly two months of dealing with COVID-19 and it’s after-effects, I finally got out to photograph on Sunday!
The Grey-tailed tattler
"Stay at home" orders have prevented me from photographing lately. I was glad to get out for a short bird session today.
Pacific reef heron
I watched this Pacific reef heron (Egretta sacra) hunting at Paseo today. He caught one fish...just before I set up the camera.
New Plaza view
Today I went looking for new compositions in a familiar place. The Plaza de España is just a few minutes from home in Hagåtña.
Distant flame tree
The flame trees are in bloom all over the island. This one, in the hills above Hagåtña, caught my eye during a walk.
After the Solar Eclipse
We viewed the solar eclipse at the weather station today, but I wasn't prepared to photograph. So I settled for a sunset.
