This is a view from the trail to Tinago Falls in Inarajan. I think this will become one of our favorite hikes on the island.
Colony of Black Noddy
There is an impressive colony of Black and Brown noddy or Fåhang in the CHamoru language taking up residence in Merizo.
Female Coconut Crab
We saw a number of Coconut crabs on our recent 1,000 Steps hike. This female was near the cliff edge and carrying eggs.
Pattern at Plaza de España
These tiles surround a fountain at the Plaza de España. This is the site of the Governor’s Palace during Spanish occupation.
Western Honey Bee
When I have a chance to explore the island, it is often the little things that catch my attention, like this Western Honey Bee.
Pair of fledgling Yellow Bitterns
I found a Yellow Bittern nest today. Two fledgling chicks were hidden well. I was just able to catch their emerging heads.
Beach at Fouha Bay

I followed and tried to photograph a pair of Yellow Bitterns today, but wound up getting a better shot of this White Tern.
Evening at Agat Bay
We spent the early evening walking at Ga'an Point and the Agat Beach Unit. It was mostly clear and calm at sunset.
Heron at Sunset
I was glad to see a light morph Pacific Reef Heron tonight. The dark morph seems to be more common around here.

All the White (Fairy) Terns I saw today were peeking out from behind branches. I just caught this one as it looked my way.
